As a ByDate Express courier, you're the link between healthcare teams and the patients and labs who depend on them. You'll pick up and deliver time-sensitive medical items, follow handling and privacy procedures on every run, and confirm each handoff in our driver app.
Routes include scheduled daily runs and on-demand STAT deliveries, so you can choose the work that fits your week.
What you'll do
- Pick up and deliver prescriptions, lab specimens, supplies and equipment on time
- Follow chain-of-custody, temperature and privacy (HIPAA) procedures on every delivery
- Confirm each pickup and drop-off in the driver app with a signature or photo
- Keep dispatch updated on arrival times, delays and anything unusual
- Handle and secure packages carefully, including temperature-sensitive items
- Represent ByDate Express professionally with pharmacy, lab and clinic staff
What you'll need
- 21 or older with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Reliable, insured car, SUV or van
- Smartphone for routing and proof of delivery
- Able to pass a background check
- Comfortable lifting packages up to 50 lb
- Complete HIPAA and bloodborne pathogens training before your first route
Nice to have
- Courier, delivery or medical transport experience
- Knowledge of the local roads and facilities
- Experience working as an independent contractor
